Cookies and tracking
Last updated: 2026-10-19
Trendmint only uses what is needed for the service to work. We have no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics.
In short
- We use four small things: a sign-in cookie, a cookie that makes the sign-in end when you close the browser (if you chose that), a cookie for your language choice and a setting for light or dark mode.
- None of it follows you between websites, and we share nothing with advertising networks.
- That is why we need no consent banner. If we add something that requires consent we update this page and ask you first.
- This page also describes how we collect public information about shops and ads.
1. Cookies and local storage we use
| Name | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-… (several, from our sign-in provider Supabase) | Keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in and removed when you sign out. | Necessary | Until you sign out. If you did not choose “Keep me signed in” it disappears when you close the browser. |
| trendmint_session_only | Remembers that you did not choose to stay signed in, so that the sign-in ends when you close the browser. | Necessary | Until you close the browser |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers which language you chose. | Functional | Up to one year |
| nexora-theme (local storage, not a cookie) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Functional | Until you clear the browser's storage |
All four are set by Trendmint itself, on our own address. None is set by a third party.
2. What we do not do
- No advertising cookies and no advertising from third parties.
- No tracking pixels, for example from social media.
- No third-party web analytics (for example Google Analytics) and no recording of how you use the pages.
- No sale or disclosure of data about you for advertising purposes.
3. How we measure usage without cookies
To know whether the service is used we store simple events on the server when you do something important: sign up, sign in, save an item, follow an advertiser, complete a guide step or start a payment. We only store the name of the event and the time, linked to your account. No IP address, no page you looked at and no text.
It is not a cookie and does not follow you anywhere else. The legal basis and how long it is kept are in the privacy policy.
4. Why consent is not required
Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act we need your consent for cookies, except for those that are necessary for a service you have asked for yourself. Sign-in is necessary. The language and theme choices are something you choose yourself and are only used to remember it.
If we switch on something that requires consent, for example analytics or advertising, we will show a banner where you can say no as easily as yes, and nothing is loaded before you answer. If we switch on bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) at sign-in, Cloudflare may set technical data to decide that you are a human. That is necessary for security, and we will then update this page.
5. How to manage cookies
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time in your browser's settings. You are then signed out and the language and theme choices are reset. If you block necessary cookies you cannot sign in.
6. How we collect public information
To show trend and competition data, Trendmint collects information that is already publicly published. It is not about you as a user, but it is reasonable that you can find out how it is done:
- What: shops' public product lists (for example
/products.json) and ads in public ad libraries: title, image, price, publication date and landing page. - How often and how gently: a shop is visited about once a day at most, with a user agent that says who we are. We read the shop's
robots.txtand follow it: shops that do not want to be read are skipped. If a server answers that it is overloaded we wait or stop. - Protection against misuse: collection goes through a client that refuses internal network addresses and checks every redirect, so that it cannot be used to reach anything that is not public. Shops behind protection (for example Cloudflare) are marked and skipped; we get around nothing.
- Storage: product data is kept as long as the shop is followed, and outdated rows are removed. Images may be stored as copies by us because links to them otherwise expire.
- Removal: if a shop, an advertiser or anyone else does not want to be included, they email Maximilian.stefanov1@gmail.com and we remove them and stop collecting. If it concerns personal data, see the privacy policy.
7. Changes and questions
If any of this changes we update the page and the date at the top. Send questions to Maximilian.stefanov1@gmail.com. See also the privacy policy.
